Hi! My name is Kenji. I have created this blog to share my running experiences, both good and bad, with anyone that stumbles across it. My goal is to describe what I do with enough detail, so you can analyze whether my methods might useful for you.
I have been fascinated by the “barefoot” running school of thought for a while; however, I was not intrigued enough until I read ‘Born to Run‘ by Christopher McDougall. That turned me on to huaraches and pinolé. Since I finished reading ‘Born to Run’ I have been determined make my own pair of huaraches and pinolé. I’ll probably get some Vibram Five Fingers eventually, but for now I’m wearing shoes or sandals.
I realize everyone is different, so you should check my background to understand how applicable my experiences might be.
I have to give credit to Barefoot Ted, since I followed his instructions for the initial design of my huaraches.
